Troubleshooting

If troubleshooting steps in the Usermanual don’t resolve your issue:

1. Check error messages: Read the full error message for specific guidance
2. Enable debug logging: Run with --loglevel DEBUG to get detailed information
3. Consult documentation: Review the extensive documentation linked above
4. Community support: Ask questions on the ArduPilot forum
5. Report bugs: Create an issue on GitHub

Support (in order of preference):

• Use the user support forum and include a .bin log file and a .zip file with all the intermediate .param files if possible. If you’re not sure you have a bug, you should seek support first.
• Use the discord channel
• Report a bug/issue/missing feature on github. Only report one bug per issue report.

Information to Include When Reporting Issues

When reporting issues, please include:

• Software version: ArduPilot Methodic Configurator version
• Operating system: Windows/Linux/macOS version
• Flight controller: Type and firmware version
• Error messages: Complete error text or screenshots
• Log files: Debug logs (the ArduPilot methodic configurator outputs text to a console) if available
• .bin log file: A dataflash log file from the flight controller
• .zip file: with all the AMC intermediate .param files if possible
• Steps to reproduce: What you were doing when the problem occurred
