Governance

This project follows a benevolent dictator governance model, which is common for small open-source projects. The project lead, Amilcar do Carmo Lucas, makes all final decisions regarding the project’s direction, code changes, and dispute resolution.

Roles and Responsibilities

Project Lead

Holder: Amilcar do Carmo Lucas

Responsibilities:

• Make final decisions on all project aspects including code changes, feature priorities, release schedules, and community policies
• Review and merge pull requests
• Maintain project infrastructure and security
• Resolve disputes and conflicts within the project
• Set project vision and roadmap
• Ensure compliance with licensing and legal requirements
• Represent the project in external communications

Contributors

Holders: Any community member who submits code, documentation, or other contributions

Responsibilities:

• Follow the project’s contribution guidelines
• Submit well-tested and documented code changes via GitHub pull requests
• Participate in code reviews when requested
• Respect community guidelines and maintain professional conduct
• Keep contributions aligned with project goals and standards
• Respond to feedback on their contributions

Community Members

Holders: All users, readers, and participants in project discussions

Responsibilities:

• Report bugs and issues
• Provide constructive feedback and suggestions
• Follow community guidelines and code of conduct
• Respect project maintainers’ decisions
• Help other users when possible

Decision Making

• Project Lead: Amilcar do Carmo Lucas has the authority to make final decisions on all aspects of the project, including but not limited to:
  • Code changes and merges
  • Feature requests and priorities
  • Release schedules
  • Community guidelines and policies
  • Conflict resolution
• Community Input: While the project welcomes contributions, feedback, and discussions from the community, all final decisions rest with the project lead.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes or disagreements within the project community are resolved by the project lead’s decision. This ensures consistent and timely resolution for the project’s continued development.

Contributing

Contributors are encouraged to participate through pull requests, issues, and discussions. However, acceptance of contributions and final implementation decisions are at the discretion of the project lead.
